The three pillars of a deliciously addictive meal are all met with this delicious appetizer. Whenever I go to a party I bring this and the compliments don't end.
Serves 8-10
Ingredients
1 Rupen's Mango Chutney
1, 8 oz Brie cheese wheel (I used President Brie Cheese)
1 sheet of Puff Pastry (I used Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheet)
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature, except the puff pastry sheet - it should be refrigerated.
Pre-heat your oven at 375 F.
Dust your surface area using all-purpose flour.
Place puff pastry sheet on the surface area.
Apply mango chutney liberally on one side of the Brie cheese wheel.
Place the cheese in the center of the puff pastry sheet, chutney side facing the puff pastry sheet.
Cover the wheel with puff pastry and invert.
Basted with egg and place it on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes OR until the puff pastry sheet is golden brown.
Remove and set aside to cool for 15 minutes so that the melted cheese can firm up.
Serve alongside fruits and crackers. Enjoy!
