Spicy Paneer Sandwich

This toasted sandwich is a spicy, flavorful take on the classic Indian street-style paneer sandwich. It’s loaded with grilled paneer, fresh veggies, and a bold, herbaceous kick from Rupen’s jalapeño paste and cilantro blend.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sandwich bread (white or whole wheat)

  • 100g paneer, cut into small cubes

  • 1 tablespoon Rupen’s Spicy Barbeque Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons Rupen’s Jalapeño Paste

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

  • ½ small tomato, thinly sliced

  • ¼ small onion, thinly sliced

  • ¼ small bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon shredded low-fat cheese (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions

  • Marinate the paneer cubes in Rupen’s Spicy Barbeque Marinade for 15–20 minutes, then grill or pan-sear until lightly charred and cooked through.
  • Mix Rupen’s Jalapeño Paste with chopped cilantro to make a spread, and coat one side of each bread slice with it.
  • Layer the grilled paneer, tomato, onion, and bell pepper on two slices, sprinkle lightly with salt, and add shredded cheese if using.
  • Top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
  • Lightly butter the outside of the bread and grill on a sandwich press or pan until golden and crisp on both sides.
  • Slice into triangles and serve hot.
