This toasted sandwich is a spicy, flavorful take on the classic Indian street-style paneer sandwich. It’s loaded with grilled paneer, fresh veggies, and a bold, herbaceous kick from Rupen’s jalapeño paste and cilantro blend.
Ingredients

4 slices sandwich bread (white or whole wheat)

100g paneer, cut into small cubes

1 tablespoon Rupen’s Spicy Barbeque Marinade

2 tablespoons Rupen’s Jalapeño Paste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

½ small tomato, thinly sliced

¼ small onion, thinly sliced

¼ small bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon shredded low-fat cheese (optional)

Salt to taste

Butter or oil for grilling
Instructions
- Marinate the paneer cubes in Rupen’s Spicy Barbeque Marinade for 15–20 minutes, then grill or pan-sear until lightly charred and cooked through.
- Mix Rupen’s Jalapeño Paste with chopped cilantro to make a spread, and coat one side of each bread slice with it.
- Layer the grilled paneer, tomato, onion, and bell pepper on two slices, sprinkle lightly with salt, and add shredded cheese if using.
- Top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
- Lightly butter the outside of the bread and grill on a sandwich press or pan until golden and crisp on both sides.
- Slice into triangles and serve hot.
