1 red apple, thickly grated (along with the skin)
1 tbsp rice
3 cups evaporated milk
Â½ cup sugar
Â½ teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon roughly crushed pistachios
1 tablespoon sliced almonds
In a medium sautÃ© pan over medium heat, add evaporated milk and rice and bring it to a boil.
Once the milk has come to a boil, add grated apple, sugar and cardamom powder and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the mixture is semi-thick.
Finally, garnish with pistachios and almonds and serve hot or chilled.
